About Spirituality and the Metaphysical

“The inclusion of spirituality and quality of life assessments as inseparable, essential elements in the care of persons with chronic illness.” Maxine Adegbola, RN, CNE, ANEF, Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Nursing, University of Texas.
“In physics, new metaphysical ideas have arisen in connection with quantum mechanics, where subatomic particles arguably do not have the same sort of individuality as the particulars with which philosophy has traditionally been concerned.” Arenhart, Jonas R.B. (2012). “Ontological frameworks for scientific theories”. Article in Foundations of Science 17 (4): 339–356.
Introduction
This website is about an exploration of spirituality and the metaphysical.
There is a wealth of contradictory views on both Google and YouTube. I will not add to that. Instead, I will endeavour to include peer-reviewed and present well-trodden pathways.
It is important to me to look backwards as well as forward.
Debunked?
Today, medical science accepts some metaphysical, spiritual and quantum healing. In the past, cave paintings, pre-historic art and some indigenous customs point to a form of perennial philosophy or Shamanic Metaphysics.
“Metaphysical healing” in bygone times referred to healing employing remedies that are “magical” rather than “scientific.” Understandably, this gave the naysayers “ample proof” in their minds to debunk the field of metaphysics.
A Counter-Argument
My argument is that Christian Wolff had theoretical philosophy divided into the distinction of the three “special metaphysics” the soul, our world and our creator.
In Immanuel Kant’s “ Critique of Pure Reason” book preface (2nd edition), Wolff is defined as “the greatest of all dogmatic philosophers.”
Then came a more cautious philosophy of metaphysics grounded on realism, common sense and science. (Thomas Reid, John Locke and John Stuart Mill). Suffice to say, there is a place for metaphysics in today’s world: It’s a thing!
Spirituality vs Religion

Spirituality, not to be confused with religion, refers to the deepest values by which people live. Including some esoteric indigenous traditions evidencing a realm beyond our observable world. Some call it “supernatural”, but I prefer to call it “natural” or “home”.
A meditative journey to encounter our “inner soul dimension” brings about the quest for transcendence or enlightenment to nirvana or the “source”. Spirituality is a way of life for life and the afterlife.
Thanks for Visiting
The website is about presenting both spirituality and the metaphysical in practical terms.
Some of the information will be coloured with my own experiences. I will try not to employ any confirmation bias and be purely objective in my articles.
I hope you enjoy the website. I sincerely hope you contact me with your experiences, or questions, which I will happily include on the website. Thanks for visiting.
